Karen Godine, a registered nurse with years of experience caring for people of all ages and from all walks of life, brings to you her caring touch and expertise to care for your aches and pains through the ancient art of massage therapy. Karen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Cleveland State University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and her post degree certificate in Massage Therapy/Advanced Massage Therapy from Cuyahoga Community College. She is licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board in Massage Therapy. She also earned her certification in complex decongestive therapy/lymphedema management from Klose Training, and has been trained in the Vodder method of manual lymphatic drainage (which is the gold standard of lymph drainage). Her extensive home health care experience has enabled her to become an expert in the care of medical conditions and in geriatric and hospice care. She believes in the power of the human body and mind and the amazing ability of the body to heal itself. Karen is also on the faculty of the Massage Therapy program at Cuyahoga Community College, currently as an instructor for the advanced massage therapy clinic.
Karen lives in Chardon, Ohio with her best friend and husband Ron and her crazy rescue Boston Terriers Tank and Rocky. Her daughter Taylor and her grandpuppy Gizmo (Boston terrier) live nearby. Her son Corey is a recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma (go Sooners!). Karen is active in her community and is very mission minded, having helped out with Hurricane Katrina relief in Biloxi Mississippi and with helping to build a Christian primary school and help with health teaching in Masindi, Uganda, East Africa.
Karen is delighted that you visited this website, and would be honored to help you with your massage therapy needs!
